Health Quest Therapeutic Massage provides the Walla Walla Valley with

Deep
tissue

Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints). Deep tissue massage is often recommended for those who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity (such as athletes) and those who have sustained injury.

Myofascial release

Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy that involves applying sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Myofascial release is recommended for anyone who experiences chronic pain or dysfunction ranging from migraine headaches and back pain to fibromyalgia and post surgical scar tissue reduction.

Sports
massage

Sports massage is the specific application of massage techniques, range of motion/flexibility and strength-training principles used to achieve a specific goal when treating athletes. Sports massage is used for warm-ups and cool-downs to prevent fatigue and excessive soreness. Sports massage is also recommended to aid in recovery after athletic injuries.

Craniosacral
therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve overall health and whole body performance.  This highly effective method is recommended for the treatment of headaches, including migraines, chronic neck and back pain, fibromyalgia and many other conditions.

Pregnancy
massage

Pregnancy massage is massage that is customized specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies. Like regular massage, the overall purpose is to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good during this time that can be very uncomfortable.

Hot stone
massage

Hot stone massage is a specialty massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones, either as an extension of their own hands, or by placing them on the body. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and extremely soothing. It will help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work deeper with less pressure.

Manual
therapy

Manual Therapy can include everything from stretching and Range of Motion exercises to Deeper muscle mobilization and activation techniques. It is usually more interactive than traditional massage and can be educational for the client as well as therapeutic.

Manual lymphatic drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of gentle massage that is intended to drain those substances (lymph) that cannot be drained or reabsorbed by the blood system. MLD is primarily used to reduce swelling in the body, such as after surgery or after an injury.
